In general, it tends to be slower after the New Year through February, but the weather is a little colder during so it's not the ideal for a shore excursion. The season picks up in March and remains consistently busy throughout the year, peaking during the summer. Late June, July and August tend to be the hottest and most crowded months, while May, early June and September the most ideal. April and October are certainly great as well, but not ideal if you're looking to fit in a visit to the beach or the islands.
Will my driver also be my tour guide?

Our drivers are very knowledgeable and informative, and they can suggest the best sites, restaurants and shops to visit, but once outside the car he is not allowed to act as an official tour guide. The Official Tour Guide is a professional with a license who can take people inside museums, churches and other sites and provide you with specific detailed information. This license mandatory by Italian law for anyone leading a tour.
