During this evening tour of Rome, you’ll experience the Theatre of Marcello and the legendary Circus Maximus, as well as the bustling Piazza Navona where you’ll have the opportunity to stroll for a bit and see Bernini’s legendary Four Rivers Fountain. Evening Tour of Rome
This evening tour of Rome by car is a wonderful introduction to the city of extraordinary beauty, illuminated in a mellow yellow lamplight to evoke the ancient torch-lit effect. The piazzas and monuments appear like canvas paintings as we see Piazza Venezia, Quirinale Palace, the 2000-year-old Aurelian walls, sparkling Via Veneto with her sidewalk cafes, the Theater of Marcello, the imposing Palaces of the Caesars, the Circus Maximus, and more.
This panoramic drive included a visit to the lively Piazza Navona, where we browse through the artists’s stalls to buy a painting or perhaps a caricature or just relax and watch the people (a favorite Roman pastime). Our tour concludes with a stop on the top of the Janiculum hill for a splendid bird’s eye view of Rome at night
